Room 13 have based their concept around the Inquiry study on 'What is a Kiwi?' So this piece of art was supposed to reflect what children thought was special about themselves.

The idea was to write a list of statements about what makes each of us special, and create a collage arrangement around our image.  The background is based on the Kandinsky Colour Wheel design, with contrasting or harmonic collage strips, and our positive statements.

Today we had our second scooter safety session, and the class really enjoyed it and they learned a lot.

Some key points were;

How to fit helmet correctly

How to stop safetly and quickly

How to scoot on the footpath, while looking for hazards such as cars.

Please ask you child what they can remember.

Kia Ora Families and Camp Superstars!

I was really impressed with the way they encouraged and supported each other, so that they all could achieve more together!

A special mention and thanks from the children and myself, for the parent helper team!  They were just super positive, encouraging and compassionate!  The kids really enjoyed their company and good humour, and I really appreciated the way they mucked in and helped out with organisation, cooking, and cleaning!
